Hi everyone,
This Sunday we will make plans and arrangements for our plant sale. We need to raise about $500 to make our trip to MennoHaven Retreat Center a success! Please come this Sunday to help re-pot our vegetables and herbs and to pick out other kinds of flowers to sell and set prices, make posters, etc. Our plant sale will be Sunday May 15. Any youth working the plant sale will receive a discount on the cost of the retreat trip- so please plan on helping.

Hey everyone,
ISLAM WORKSHOP
This Sunday will be the last session of our Islam workshop with Marilyn Ludwig. Please try to attend!
SOCIAL ACTION OPPORTUNITY
On Saturday, May 7 from 10am-2pm we will be assisting a puppy rescue organization hold a puppy adoption event at a Countryside pet store. Our duties will include caring and playing with the puppies and talking to potential adopters. We need three or four youth and it might be nice to have two shifts. If you are interested in helping out let Pam know soon and she will fill you in with the details.

Two great things coming up!!
SOCIAL ACTION OPPORTUNITY
One of the things you all said you wanted to do was to work at a food pantry! There is room for two more youth to work at the Woodridge Community Food Pantry this Saturday, April 9th from 12:30-2:30pm. We will meet at Pam's House at Noon and she will drive you over then back to her house for pizza if you want. This is our first time working with this organization and we should make a good impression. PLEASE RSVP to Pam as soon as possible so we can let them know we are still planning on coming!!
LEARN ABOUT ISLAM
Another item you wanted was to learn about other religions. Here is your chance! Marilyn Ludwig is going to lead a two week workshop on Islam starting this Sunday, April 10th and continuing on Sunday, April 17th and possibly field trip. Marilyn has worked hard to prepare and is looking forward to seeing you! Please make every effort to attend!!
